The Aerospace Delta is one of Europe's leading hotspots for aerospace science, research and development, manufacturing and talent. Located in the Zuid-Holland river delta, approximately 80% of all space activities in the Netherlands take place in this region. Over a 100 companies and organizations are active here in the space and satellite industry, employing more than 5,000 FTEs. About 2,500 students are specifically educated and trained in space systems engineering and related fields such as mechatronics and precision engineering.
